A lot has happened in the last three years! So many pictures, so little time. I am off to Mexico. I will be exploring in the Yucatan and doing some groundwork in preparation for exploring El Mirador, Guatemala the following year. Thank you again for your interest in my work. I really appreciate it! If your school, civic group, or church/ synagogue / temple would like to have me come and share, please contact me here or on facebook ( Search under : Jack Althouse ). I enjoy speaking to you about my latest explorations and musings.
2012 November 17:
I’ve been spending my time reviewing chapters from the publisher for Second Birth. Last night chapter 43 went through final review. No changes! Just grammar and typo catches. The publisher sends final chapters one at a time with suggested changes. I look the chapter over and read the sidebar comments in Microsoft Word. Next I enable editing and accept, reject, or modify what they suggested. Some of the comments they send are hilarious. This is a fun process if you ever want to get into it.
If you’re thinking about writing and getting published, I would be happy to describe what I went through to get published. Drop a comment and if there’s interest, I’ll start posting and link over to my face book account.
Here’s a cartoon I drew yesterday. I was thinking about binary star theory and wondered if there was a way I could describe it simpler than what I’ve been doing during lectures:
I think our sun shares a binary orbital relationship with a black hole that used to be a primary star. When it exploded, it spit out the stuff that made our sun, planets, and us. Then it collapsed into a three mile diameter black hole; packing lots of gravity and about as easy to spot as a flea in a pepper shaker.
Just a theory . But if I’m right, then Sol’s shrunken mom is out there and coming closer.
