This is an ongoing project. I have no clue what the effort might yield. I am graphically overlaying in AutoCad global and regional disasters from ancient times on Manetho’s History of Egypt. I am overlaying the Mayan Calendar Round. I am also plugging in finds sent in from colleagues. This update includes a news piece that Kirby King found regarding evidence of a 200 year long drought that may have been the cause of the Sumerian culture’s decline. When I overlaid the drought on the timeline, I found that other significant disasters happened in the same general time period. All these global and regional disasters seem to have contributed to the end of the Third Age, circa 7000 BCE. The dates are approximate with a possible error of a few thousand years or more. Manetho’s timeline becomes blurred around the same time all the ancient calendars restarted.
Thanks Kirby for sending that news piece in. I really appreciate it.
