One of the premises of Second Sight is the existence of an enormous chamber buried deep beneath the pyramids of Giza. If I am correct, the chamber is buried 917 feet beneath the surface of the Khafre (That’s the pyramid in the middle with the “cap” on top). It is accessed by a vertical shaft or well. There are probably other means of accessing the chamber as well. The chamber is twelve stories tall by four hundred feet long. Most people ask me if I think it is a tomb. I tell them no. I think it is a library.
If it is undisturbed, it may contain the accurate records of human history dating back tens of thousands of years.
According to Mayan, Greek, and Egyptian legends, humankind lived in a series of Ages. The Second Age ended around 11,000 BC. The achievements of those people are remembered as god-like. But according to Plato, they were regular people. People who lived in peace and put their efforts to advancement of the Arts and Sciences. Their Age lasted 14,000 years. It was a time of unparalleled prosperity, discovery, and accomplishment.
But then something went horribly wrong. Our ancestors found themselves staring into the abyss of impending doom, something Plato called the “Stream of Heaven”. Something the Mayans called the “Feathered Serpent”. And for all their knowledge and technology, they were powerless to stop it.
The people of that time foresaw a global disaster approaching that would erase their Age and plunge the Earth into chaos and barbarianism. They laid plans to preserve a remnant of their people and equip them to re-civilize the world after it was destroyed. They gathered together all the knowledge of their time and inscribed it on golden tablets. They buried the tablets in a stone chamber. They also buried weapons that “would never decay” in the chamber to guard the tablets against barbarians. They also buried something else in the chamber, something legend remembers as “glass that bends”.
According to the stories, the end of their Age was swift and horrible. The world was ripped and scoured. Mountains were leveled and new ones created. Valleys became oceans. Oceans became deserts. The climate became harsh and bitter. Those who survived had no time for the arts or the sciences. They were too busy trying to find food and shelter against residual earthquakes, tidal waves, and deadly weather as the toppled world sought to regain her balance.
The Third Age was a short Age called the “Useless Age”. It produced no great achievements and ended according to legend in a massive war that turned many parts of the World into a desert. Again a remnant of humanity survived and became the parents of our present Fourth Age.
Thousands of years have passed and the Library apparently still sleeps, undisturbed, waiting to be found. It seems that clues to its location were carefully positioned by somebody during the “Useless Age”. One of the clues I believe was an enormous carving in Peru called El Chandelabra. It was this carving that pointed me towards Egypt and the possible existence of a library vault beneath the middle pyramid.
While I was in Egypt in 2008 finishing the research for my book, I was questioned by Director Kamal Wahid, Director of the Giza Pyramids and later by Director Ahmed M. Ebeid, Director of the General Secretary to the Supreme Council of Antiquities. The first question they asked me was: “Who told you about the shaft and chamber?” I was stunned. Did their question mean that the chamber actually existed? In the course of our conversations, it became clear that they were searching for the library. It was also clear that they had just found something and had been trying to keep it quiet while they secured the find. My knowledge of a vertical shaft and buried chamber structure had caused a stir. They were worried about a security leak. Once they realized I had not been given any information by anyone on their staff, our conversation took a very exciting turn.
Both gentlemen were very gracious and extended me the invitation to return to Egypt for continued discussions. I also received a personal invitation from Dr. Zawi Hawass, Chief Archaeologist, Supreme Council of Antiquities to meet with him upon my return to Egypt. I hope it is to join him under the Khafre, wearing a harness with a very long rope coiled at my feet, staring down a 917 foot deep shaft.
This has been my hunt, to find this library. Second Sight is a fast-paced tale that turns on this research. You dive into the past and end up in a forgotten paradise under siege. It is the fabled time of Atlantis, a nation peopled by giants and half giants. A time of Athen, the ancestor nation of Greece , who according to Plato was peopled by the most virtuous humans that ever lived. A clue to their character may be that they named their capital city Deucalion, which is Greek for Noah.
This story is in dedication to those people who made the ultimate sacrifice that our ancestors could survive to repopulate the world.
Thank you for reading.

Let me know if you ever need an “assistant” on your travels. I would love to see Egypt!
Hi Kristen! I often take people with me on my travels. If things get going with the books, I will be able to do more of that. You okay with climbing into pyramids and eating questionable food?
Thanks for reading Kristen,
